Our friends at 3rd Space are calling out for some supplies they are low on. Anyone that can help out that would be awesome. I will be heading in with drop offs early next week.

CALL FOR DONATIONS: We're running very low on toothbrushes, small shampoos, hand sanitiser, tissues and small deodorants...and we have limited or no supplies of men’s and women’s jeans and track pants in small sizes, shoes and joggers (especially in men's larger sizes) and duffel/sports bags. Do you remember back in February I mentioned a Mum and her two teenage daughters sleeping in their car after escaping a domestic and family violence situation ? Well I was lucky enough to be able to visit them in their new home in the Ipswich area on Friday. They were settling into their new unit I was able to drop by for a coffee and chat and drop off a few essential items. A toaster and frying pan and a new dinner set. As I finished the dishes from my hot dinner, I was a little cold, I went to my wardrobe and got a cardigan, went to the cupboard and got a clean and dry pair of socks, I can hear the rain starting again out side. I have blankets and a bed and warmth. Take the time to think about those that aren’t as lucky. Better still set your alarm for 2am. Preferably when you know it's 8 degrees outside and raining. Get up when the alarm goes off and go outside in the dark. Now find a comfortable warm place to sleep.
Do you wish you had a warm waterproof sleeping bag?

At midnight tonight the shop turns one, and what a year it has been!

Our 1st year has been incredibly successful, with 11 months of continued and successive growth. I will not sugar coat it - it has been a huge challenge at times, but one that continues to be rewarding. Coincidentally tomorrow is also my birthday, so this has turned out well!
